A very flashy appearance in the field. Well adapted to the challenges North Country growing conditions can bring. The tall plant produces ample tonnage for the dairy producer. The long ears flower early and the kernels set up quickly to produce top bushels of high test weight grain even when heat units are limited. Husks reliably flare open to promote good air circulation and help protect grain quality from ear molds in damp fall conditions. Seed comes untreated.

  • SW 9093SS (RIB)

Exciting, new addition to the SEEDWAY lineup with yields that rival the popular SW 9035SS including both above and below ground insect protection. Very strong coming out of the ground in the spring giving it an edge for a strong finish in the fall with superior plant intactness. Ears have a good amount of flex at lower populations and positioned at a more moderate height with husks that loosen to provide reliable grain drydown at harvest. Shines on the more moderate to high yield acre both in zone and north, but holds up well under drought and stress and where corn follows corn. A Trecepta® RIB Complete® trait version is in the works that will provide protection against both Western Bean Cutworm and Corn Earworm when available.

  • SW 9297RR

A big, leafy plant with a dense upper canopy makes it a top choice for high quality silage with a lot of grain. The semi-flex ear placed midway up the plant has good length and girth with deep kernels and adapts to different plant populations with husks that loosen. Milk per ton and milk per acre calculations are both rated as very good when used in a dairy ration with a softer kernel texture to maximize palatability. Makes a great companion to SW 9124RR with the same tech package and coming in just a day later in zone and north. No above or below ground insect protection, so plant where they are not a concern and avoid continuous corn ground. Adapted to high medium and low yield environments.
