Arat (Root) (Treated Seed)$19.97 – $181.50
Arat replaces Fakir as our rooted-type parsley with smooth, parsnip-shaped roots that are strongly flavored. When roasted or used in soups. This is a nice item to take for farmers markets, especially around Northern European populations. Flat leaves are dark-green.
Arugula Bellezia (Treated Seed)$4.50 – $20.00
Bellezia adds field tolerance to Downy Mildew to the preferred type Grazia. Wild arugula is slower growing than Astro but has improved shelf life. If you are unfamiliar with wild arugula, be prepared for dust-fine seed, around 1 million seeds per pound.
Arugula Grazia (Not Treated)$3.00 – $15.00
Wild arugula has better shelf life and a more refined appearance that “cultivated,” round-leafed arugula. It is smaller and slower growing with a fine, intense flavor. Enza/Vitalis breeds the premium varieties, and Grazia is best for our humid climate. It is dark green. Because it is slow-bolting, Grazia is nice for potted plant sales.
Arugula Sparkle RZ (Not Treated)$15.50 – $140.00
Sparke RZ is a unique round leaved cultivated arugula with unique visual appeal and thick leaves for good shelf life. Usable as babyleaf or as whole baby plant. Tastes fantastic and has very thick wavy leaves. It is great on sandwiches. Strong against 2 strains of Peronospora.
Basil Elidia (Organic)$2.70 – $180.00
Good Fusarium resistance in a Genovese-type basil, Elidia is well branched with medium-sized leaves and somewhat compact habit. Can be sold in pots or bunches. It has beautiful, shiny green leaves and is slow bolting. Of our basils, this is the best all-around variety.
