Description

This outstanding kale has a uniquely deep purple-red color even while growing in warmer weather. It colors up early. It has closer internodes as compared to Sunbor or Redbor and so makes a sensational ornamental, as well as a garnish or vegetable. As a salad ingredient, the flavor is mild and the leaves tender. The plant is a bit shorter than Redbor, due to the short internodes, but yield is comparable and it can be stripped and will regrow. The petiole stems are longer and thinner, snap clean, and make a beautiful bunch.
