Description

Applause is a new boxing or slaw cabbage with exceptional black rot tolerance. Perfectly round and uniform heads have a short core, great flavor, and  3 lb to 6 lb heads, dependent on spacing. Plants are erect and a strong stem hold heads off the ground.  It is extra good for slaw since the leaves are not ribby.  It has looked good in the southeast, both for fall and spring. Texas also looks good and we expect it to perform well throughout the northeast.
